Shirley came up from Roseburg
to go with me and we picked up Irene at her place. Then drove over to the
fair grounds. Arrived at 9:30am on Saturday and many of the horses and riders
had already settled in.
Later, Bob arrived with his horse, Turbo and his wife Laurie and friends,
Marilyn and her granddaughter, all from Grants Pass. Bob has been planning to
get back into riding in shows, but had 5 by-passes a few years ago that slowed
his plans down.
Jamie and Kathryne from Dr. Curry Ranch arrived later. Dr. Curry had dislocated
his shoulder just before the show so wasn't able to join everyone this time. We
wish him a speedy recovery.
Then Rich and Mary arrived. It was great seeing Vicki again. Maxine
and Dave told everyone that Sunday around 2:00 the group was planning a get
together for lunch break.
Jene'e and Steve were busy with horse and tack. Marissa brought the Peruvian
music for the announcer. Nothing worse, than western music for a Peruvian show.
The NorthWestPeruvian Club
and had a fabulous booth with lots of valuable Peruvian information. I also
liked the new Banner.
It
was great to see how many riders with their horses attended, we had 30 Peruvian
horses and many of the riders were new.
Doris Loeffler,
May we always have,
